Adam Bidas, MEd LPC NCC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and nationally certified counselor (NCC) with a strong commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Scranton in 2013 and my master’s degree in professional counseling from William Paterson University in 2016.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a variety of clinical settings—including outpatient and inpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs, community mental health, and private practice. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of the many ways people cope, adapt, and grow.

I began working at CM Counsel in 2024, where I work with individuals aged 12 through 65 years and older. My areas of focus include adjustment difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and self-esteem challenges.

In our work together, I use an integrative approach that draws from client-centered humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Although I’m not formally trained in trauma-specific modalities such as EMDR, I maintain a trauma-informed perspective and always consider how past experiences may influence present challenges.

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and the importance of truly understanding each individual’s unique story. My approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and present-focused—though we’ll explore the past when it’s meaningful to your healing and growth. Together, we’ll work toward practical, personalized solutions that support your goals and values.
