One of my favorite movie quotes is “For every problem, there is a solution.” I truly believe this premise and enjoy helping clients find resolution in their lives! I have witnessed true strength and courage in people when they first engage in treatment. Walking through the door for the first time or making the initial call is a sign of strength and courage. Problem resolution can be achieved in several ways: one, through educational processes; two, through exploring choices; and three, challenging myths and changing specific thought processes. This is the therapeutic process. I possess a Master’s in Counselor Education, a Master’s in Social Work, a clinical license (LCSW), and certificates from the University of Scranton, Marywood University, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania. However, the best education I have received has been from the clients I have served and the colleagues with whom I have worked, as well as my own personal experiences. I have 40 years of experience in mental health and addiction settings, from outpatient to inpatient, working with children to seniors, working with the LGBTQ community and providing various treatment modalities, such as a systems approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family therapy. My main approach is a holistic systems approach. There are solutions to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, self-confidence, self-acceptance, and self-worth. “Let’s get together and get this done!”
