Melissa Keating, MS LPC NCC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I specialize in treating trauma and anxiety-related disorders and enjoy working with a variety of clients including children, adolescents, and adults.  I integrate a client-centered approach along with a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework to focus on creating a collaborative and safe space to address each client’s personally identified therapeutic goals.  My clinical process includes tailoring interventions through the lens of each individual’s identity and culture to make therapy accessible, empowering, and meaningful.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Temple University and my graduate degree at the University of Massachusetts Boston prior to obtaining my LPC in Pennsylvania.  I also have completed certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Beck Initiative), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (CTSA), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CARES Institute) and Primary Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CHOP).

In my spare time I enjoy exploring new hiking trails with my rescue dog, trying to beat my annual Goodreads reading challenge, and becoming engrossed in random documentaries on niche topics I know nothing about.
