Dr. Roytman grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and earned his BS in Biology from Tufts University in 1998. Before medical school, he worked in the information technology field for almost a decade. He graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2011 and returned to the Boston area to complete his 4-year psychiatry residency at Tufts Medical Center. During his 3rd year of residency, he completed the 1-year psychotherapy fellowship at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (BPSI). While Dr. Roytman focuses on the medical management of psychiatric issues at CM Counsel, he conceptualizes each case through a psychodynamically informed approach and encourages all patients to consider talk therapy.  He is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
